I would like to say that I really enjoyed this activity because it was motivating and related to creativity. The instructions and objective of the activity were clear and easy to follow. Besides, it helped me understand how powerful non-verbal communication can be to build meaning. For that reason, I think this is a good multimodal project because it integrates different modes to express a message, such as body gestures, background music, and visual element including colors, makeup, clothes, and the scenario.
Hi Camila, thank you very much for making my activity. I am very glad that you enjoyed the creative component of the task, my idea was to create a project that could be easy to make but also that could be fun for students. This activity is related to my personal hobbies and to what I, as a student, would have liked to create for an English course. I think these type of projects can make the learning process more interesting and effective and I'm happy to hear that for you, it was like that.
Regarding the activity, I consider that it is very well planned and the way you invite students to use non-verbal communication in order to accomplish the task is magnificent. I think it is very clear that your objective is to develop multiple ways of communication by prioritizing the non-verbal ones. Also, I liked the fact you allowed us to work in pairs. Finally, even though I did it with Canva, Slideshow seems to be a remarkable tool that I will try to use in a future assignment.
Hi Miguel, thank you very much for completing it and for leaving a comment on what you liked the most. I am delighted to hear you found this task well planned and that the objective was clear. My idea was to prioritize these types of communication because we tend to ignore them. Sometimes we might think they are not that important, but in reality, we use them all the time, even more when we can not fully produce a language or comprehend it; we are constantly leaning on actions, gestures, and more.
Hello! Here is the link to my multimodal task:
